The Bridge

The cracks spoke a story,

Ancient and old,

The bridge that was used to cross by many,

Was now standing alone,

The voyages and the path,

Travelled by those few,

The visitors admiring the splendid view,

The river that flow beneath once had boats passing by,

For trade and survival this was the only means to come by,

Now the bridge stands alone,

River all dry,

Waiting for passersby,

What a magnificent bridge it was those days,

Standing Tall and paths wide,

Now it remains an unfinished story yet to be written by…

The View

Enjoying the sunset and the morning sunrise from afar,

A vast open field with tall grass,

So green and lush,

A shepherd tending to the sheep,

Crossing and making their way across,

As the sun starts to set the orange tint falls over the flowers,

Slowly everything comes to a stop…

Power of Silence

The quiet stillness of reality,

I express without fear, my silence says it all

I sit silent and hear nothing,

I am far away from the world,

Yet sometimes silence is stronger than words they say,

There is nothing to explain,

With my silence you can hear the thoughts I wish to convey,

I am not weak silence is powerful,

It tells a story not spoken or read ,

It communicates a million things without things being said…

A Second

In the midst of silence,

One can hear the heartbeat,

The sound of the breath,

The whooshing of the winds,

To the sound of the raging sea,

I am lost in the moment and forget the reality….

The Choice

A mountain of burden heavy to carry,

Shoulders with tangled knots,

Tired with worries,

Working around the clock,

No Sleep, No Rest

Life was definitely a test,

A line of hurdles to cross,

Finding the way or getting lost,

Each test is a pass or a fail,

At the end you choose the trail…

The Pink Blush

A Peek of those rosy cheeks,

A prick a second of pain,

Dancing and Fluttering in the wind,

Shadows disappearing to the bright sight of you,

Your beauty enhanced, smell so fresh so divine,

Soft touch and vibrant color,

What a beautiful sight you are….

DOWN THE STREAM

Way down the stream,

The water is at its peak,

Caught in the waves I swirl around,

The stream ahead joins the sea,

I am eager to reach the bigger waters,

From there on I reach the shores,

Where it is safe for me,

On my way,

I catch the eye of young children playing nearby,

They are amused by me,

They watch me and play with me,

and let me go my way,

My journey is a tough one to take,

For the waters are deep,

I am just a small boat I may sink or cast away,

But yet I continue in these aggressive waters,

Conquering all the hurdles in my way,

For my destination is unknown,

I follow the path of the sea and go with it wherever it leads…

The Ocean Beckons….

The winds blew towards the shore,

Announcing its coming,

The tides raising and falling,

The moon a mirror of reflection on the water gleaming,

Twinkling of the stars in the sky,

Shimmering sparkles of the sand,

The sound of the ocean waves the cool breeze across my face,

A fishing boat far away,

A small dimmer of light,

The morning brings a new ray of light,

Different shades of water and the blue sky,

The water so clear,

Soaking my feet a soothing feeling,

I am taken aback,

The ocean and the sound of the waves take me far away to another place….

Wings to Fly

The gentle breeze whispers to me,

Come fly with me,

The breeze sways and takes me with it,

My feet above the ground I fly,

The sky has never looked more beautiful and clearer,

The clouds waving me goodbye,

Over the trees and the green valleys,

The water blue a reflection of the sky,

The wind brings me back home and goes away,

Giving me a final goodbye,

Oh, what a day it was,

My dream is over ,

I wish I could go back there,

Every now and then I can still feel the breeze passing by…
